Default Color-Blind Road to Salivation

Look here for masters of black-and-white:

On the left, run down the list of photographers, clicking on each to find b&w artists. There are many.

Was amazing, but I hope you looked at the work of some of the other photographers showcased on the site. Adams was a master of b&w, but he was nowhere near the only master. Try this: type "Edward Weston" into Google. And for an entirely different sort of photographer, try "Weegee." And still another take on b&w will be discovered by typing "Jacob Riis."

I have always preferred b&w portraits to color, somehow a B7W is able to convey the inner mood and character of the person. One of my favorite photographers is Yousuf Karch some of his work can be viewed at:

This Color Blind challenge has certainly stirred up some lively responses and seems to have motivated many of us to explore new avenues of opportunity.

I've seen any number of those portraits and thought they were wonderful, but for whatever reason, I never noted the name of the photographer, which is sad. An artist's work should be remembered, but so should the artist.
