Default Contrast: Remodel

Living room of a house we are remodeling

I am better at this than I am photography :lol: This pays the bills, photography is just fun.

Photographers "cheat" all the time, so don't ever think it's necessary to wait for a scene to show up. To really highlight the idea of contrast in this picture, you could have removed the cover from the couch and coerced your wife to lounge on it comfortably, perhaps sipping a cup of coffee and reading the morning newspaper.

That would be a great idea, except it is not my house. I am remodelling it far a client. I do this for a lioving to pay for my photography habit

Well then, on work breaks, you could always set your camera on a tripod and give it enough of a time delay so you can race into the picture and act natural.

...or you could STILL have your wife lounge on it, sipping coffee. But make sure she's not in her robe or slippers, or the client may call the cops.
