Monkey143...

I really liked the way you have "captured the sound" and your
tight crop invokes a curiosity in this viewer re the origins of
the photo.

The wedding ring also is an ambiguous clue...is this the guy's
fulltime gig or is is the best man at a wedding...or did take
a turn on the real, unseen bongo drum player...delightful!

Go with Paint Shop Pro 7 for an image editor if you can find it...though not at powerful
as PSP 8 (or the Power Suite), it will take significantly less RAM
to drive the application.

If you have it, you can do an adjust on the grain via
Effects | Noise | Edge Preserving Smooth. You can increment
the level of smoothies...err smoothing.

Thanks, Gil, for your kind offer. I have provided the information requested in the PM. I really appreciate that. I appreciate all the help from everyone else here, too, on the software. PromiseKeeper, I will probably try the trial of Paint Shop. I've wanted to for awhile.

DX, you're right about the RAW files. Haven't had a need for that, yet. Or maybe I don't know what I'm missing?

And, Rod, sounds like you like numbers like i like words! Actually, the 143 is something my roommate in college used as code for "I love you" to her boyfriend - the number of letters in each word. My mom always said I was like a little monkey, and I think DH is quite monkey-like. So it just seemed a natural combination! By-the-by, my real name is Betsy.

I'm so glad you've revealed your real name! I, for one, won't forget it, but I'll pm you the reason for this.

I wouldn't forget it, either, Barb - I hope I can live up to the name, then! It means "Oath of God" and, judging by your story, your Betsy lived up to His Promise of good things for His children!
