Default Good Sense: Day-O Day-ay-ay-O

The title was either that, "Weem O Weh" or "Put De Lime In De Coconut" - but I didn't know if anyone would get the Weem O Weh and I wasn't sure De Lime in De Coconut would be impolitic.

Another one taken at ISO 1600. Kind of grainy - this isn't one that graininess adds something, for me.

I'll have to put more thought and effort into this challenge this weekend.

in this photo I can appreciate the graininess and it does offer a texture that lets me almost feel the beat.

As a drummer and percussionist I can hear the beat and know what it would sound like. Have you tried neat image for the noise or use a color blur layer in PS

Monkey: You are a Nilsson fan. Right on. Keep the beat going. Great image.

Monkey143, it's composed well, you've caught the fact that the hands are in motion, and since most people have surely heard bongo drums, this picture must be making the majority of us hear the sound in our minds. You met the challenge as far as I'm concerned.

And you know something? I rather like the grain.

Nillson Schmillson. Most people don't know he wrote "Cuddly Toy" for the Monkees and the theme from Ziggy's Gift. He certainly is eclectic and well-rounded. A welcome break from the norm.

Thanks, guys. Perhaps the grain isn't so bad, then, if you all think it adds to it.

I like it, and thanks for the reminders of the tunes. Do you have an image editor? I think I would burn the upper right corner - the eye wants to go to that light area that distracts from the center of interest - , correct for the tungsten lighing a bit, and bump the contrast. Even though that would enhance the grain a bit I think the photo could take it.

Day-O, Daaaay-O!
