A fine chair is more than a furnishing - it's family. I realized the deepness of that truth a couple of weeks ago at the Salvation Army when I had to say farewell to my recliner of 17 years, it being banished from the house by my significant other. Describing its merits to the droopy-lidded SA worker, even though I realized the futility, I went on babbling about its comfort, despite the tears, faded and stained fabric, and distinct list to one side. I just couldn't say goodbye.

LOL - Toners, that reminds me of the All in the Family episode where Archie's chair is mistakenly in an art exhibit. He was offered a few hundred to replace it and let it remain as "art" but he declined.

Default Favorite Something

We all have a favorite something and when it wears out, we are lost.
