Late '40's or early 50's is my guess because of clothing.

This photo makes me think of people in love who aren't willing to wait for a time when they can be together every single day. Because it's the "Chapel of St. Paul," my best guess is that it was a Catholic wedding, though it couldn't have been with all the more usual trappings. The young sailor is on leave, but I'm wondering about the older man. Is he still in the navy or did he dust off his old uniform just for the wedding, and was it the wedding of his son or his daughter? The same question goes for the older woman.

The wedding is during WW2. The two men are father and son. The son is taking up the family tradition of going into the navy and is probably shipping out. I would guess that the chapel is in San Fran.

LTBerry, this is your dad and mom's wedding photo. The men in your family are all navy men (Lt Berry?). But you look younger than that. Could this be your grandparents' wedding photo with your great grandparents standing in?

It was taken during or just after WW2 by thwe ribbons. The older man is a Bos'n mate 1st class with at least 12 yrs service It is probably after Sept or they would be in dress white. The Chapel is non-denominational or Epicopalean. It is late afternoon and they are facing SE and by the shdows I would say around 5pm-6pm

Though I wouldn't have known about the uniforms, I might have noticed the shadows had someone poked at me and said, "Hey you over there. Pay attention!"

Heck of a good eye you've got there, Rick.

I would say this is your grandparents wedding as you look too young for it to be your parents
