Vito, first of all, I must tell you this, you are great, and anything I say beyond this isn't important. You are a fantastic part of Steve's digicams forum as far as I am concerned personally. However... I'm on a 56 k modem (telephone) so your photograph is taking a very long time to download, just so some of you know that Barb's suggestion to post at 400 dpi is wise. I want to see your contribution but I'm still waiting, and getting frustrated. Hopefully some of you here are actually "reading" Barb's instructions because if you are things will go a whole pile smoother for us pitiful children who don't have cable. Thanks!

In otherwords, read my lips, Barb knows what she is talking about and the sooner you realize this the sooner we deficient children with modem connections will be able to appreciate your art and your skills.

Vito, it's your great grandma back in Italy, right?

Normcar, I have a feeling the speed with which the photo loads isn't entirely a product of its size. Yes, it's a bit larger than recommended, but it loads with hesitation even on my cable modem, which it shouldn't. I can normally download elephants with no problem. Something else is involved here. Maybe it's passing through a time warp.

Vito: I think this is your mother and she is playing with a "no more tears" doll or something like that I remember about.

It's clear now, what I have suspected all along - 'Lil Pooh has been funnin' with us, thanks to internet anonymity! This is a picture of her, now an 87 year-old woman, getting her dollie ready for bed!

Fess up now, Vita!

Default Poking fun

Vito:

When people like you, sometimes they poke fun but their intent is kind.

I will guess the picture is of your great grandmother when she was a little girl. Perhaps taken, circa 1925

Judging by the file name Vito used I'd say you are right (auntpeggy.jpeg)

Yeah, but who says it's HIS Aunt Peggy? Remember I said that, if you didn't have any of your own old photos, you could go to family, friends, and neighbors and filch theirs?
