Not much in the picture to pinpoint the year it was taken is there?
I'll give you a hint. That's me and I'm 59 now. Mother took that picture with a little Kodak box camera. I guess she was a little too close to get me in focus with that simple fixed focus camera.

Here's the mystery. What is that my left elbow seems to be pointing to?

You've broken the code of silence! No posting in your own thread. You're being puckish. (Glad no one's near enough to smack me for that one.)

These are great fun. What a perfect idea for a change-of-pace challenge. Butch looks like he has a lot of fun, too. As a matter of fact, It is clear from that grin desperately trying to escape into a chortle that while his mother is peering down into the little viewfinder window on top of the camera, working to contain her dear little boy within the frame, that his sister is behind her with a wriggly something ready to drop down the back of her dress.

But I am clueless re: the object near the gate.

It is going to be great reading the descriptions from the original posters at the end of the challenge. It is also going to take a while, and there will be a period of follow-up chatter. Perhaps Grand Poohbah will release us a day or so early??

Either that, or Grand Poohbah will have to extend this into a second week so we can all get ourselves chattered on out. She's been figuring that Sunday might be a good day to start telling our secrets, but it's occurred to her that some people are often not able to post their pictures until the weekend. Grand Poohbah is at a loss.

Monday sounds good, or anytime after Monday. Then if they post it on Sunday, they can tell their secrets on tuesday or something. lol
