Default DOF: Very Organic

This is part of the plant that my husband regularly curses at because it attacks him. Methinks I'm off a tad on where the sharpest focus should be.

I like the interesting but simple shapes and the diagonal lines. Focus looks right to me - on the blossom. If you can call that scary thing that.

I like this very much - I think the focus is right on, with that tiny splash of color.

I tend to agree with you here, Barbara. I think it looks soft. I love the composition and color but I think a wider focal point would have made this a much better image. Then again, it could be a factor of compressing the image for the web. I have several pictures that look great on paper and just don't work right on the web after I compress them.

I see that the focus is clearly that lovely swoop to the lower left. And the bud is clear but doesn't snap. But there's a beautiful lighting to that bud that makes it stand out.

They say that you should never point out your photographic errors because, if you don't, people won't notice them. Most definitely, the focus is on the leaf beneath the [whatever it is] instead of on the [whatever it is].

I have no idea what it is.
