Default DOF and the "pedal zoom"

Pedal up (all pun intended)

Back pedal

This photo, from a nearby park...to me provides a good example
of wonders of a zoom in for a "macro" and a zoom out for "telephoto".

It is not a celebration of technique or of a camera but rather a
an appreciation for how a view can change in just a few feet...each view having its own "draw" (again, every pun intended!)

Thanks for stopping by...

Default Camelot

Digicamfan:

The closeup of the flowers is a good example of DOF. The out of focus background adds to the image without distracting the viewer from the main subject.

As to Camelot, somewhere in the years that unfolded we lost our innocence and Excalibur was lost forever.

Kind Regards,

rod

Yes, that first photo is excellent, but I think seeing the tree sets the stage for those beautiful blossoms even if you did it kind of in reverse.

Gee, Rod, I didn't know Camelot was gone. Where'd it go? And if it's gone, what are these visions I have coming from? ('Scuse me, but my roommate is under her bed and I have to help her out before that mean person shows up with all those pills.)

Oh, Rod, don't say Excalibur is lost forever (or are you quoting some obscure song?) - whatever else will I spend my life searching?
