Default Seeing Double - Butterflies up the nose

One butterfly selected from an old photo, one newer photo from last fall, slide butterfly over onto nose, rotate butterfly until it's pointed in the right direction, burn in a touch of shadow beneath the butterfly, and there you have it: one great big fake.

Default Nicely Done

Barbara:

Nothing is real, only the image editing Matrix. Nicely done.

Sanjay Kothari is probable one of the masters of composite imagery and is highly sought after by the commercial ad agencies. Some of his image files are 2 GB in size.

Default Sanjay Kothari

Barbara:

When I first looked at Kothari's images, I just said, "WOW."

The image of the Indian women by a moonlit pond, started with an image of a nasty swamp, then the woman, lilies, flowers and moon were added to create the exotic moonlit landscape. I first read about him in a British magazine - Digital Photographer.

I looked at all those images and suddenly felt like there's an awfully steep mountain yet to climb.

Nice, Barb! My efforts so far are very rudimentary, as I'm using RAW for the first time (what a difference!). Hopefully I'll find something usable to post in the messes I've made, seeing as how this is "my" challenge.

They're surrealistic, a style of art I've loved since I first saw a Dali painting when I was a kid. However, surrealism is definitely not for everyone, and I imagine this could be true for you, but it's good that you nevertheless saw the incredible skill involved in creating those images.

You're darned tootin' m'girl! I'll drive down to PA and tie you to your computer if you don't come up with something.

If you find you're really having a lot of trouble, go ahead and post what isn't working for you. A lot of the members will doubtless dive right in to help you.
