Default Seeing double: Ol' Glory

Took this on a clear Feb. sky. Then copied as a layer, scaled and lowered the opacity. Had to post an old one as i sold my Kodak and the Cf cards for my Canon 300D didn't come in yet. Maybe tommorow

I tried very hard to eliminate the feelings of love for my country that your image evoked so I could look at the picture as pure composition. I think I managed it. Great picture, Rick!

(Ignoring love of country was easier than usual since I just got done with income tax returns. )

The earlier posters have covered it. I can only say "DITTO" to all.

Thanks, to all. The town I live near is known as flag town. On holidays we have 2 miles of flags and onee of the largest in the country. When it is out again I will take one of the line and the huge one in the middle. The last time the waether would not cooperate. You should drive thru and see it. Awsome and the feeling is incredible. Every flag is for a veteran and their names are on bricks in the town square. When the Canon gets back I will cover it.

Ok, since I'm a stranger I can speek in a more objective way : Very good job DX6490 !

You have well played with opacity settings : layers are mixed in a very tasteful way !

Framing is appropriate in recalling the flags colors and the matte/frame colors have been choosen also in a correct order to complement the blue parts of the shot without dominating it thus gracefully enhancing it instead !

Last, but not the least, the "radial" vignette adds a lot !

Looking forward to see the veteran flags.
