Default Seeing Double : Repost : Fake : Connecting More Than People

I took the original shot in Bologna Railway Station on a September morning while I was waiting for the train to arrive.

Those hands reminded me of something ....

So , I substituted the second poster's hand with the ones I was reminding of.

P.S. :
Many steps, too many to write them all.
However the "core" trick is the following :
- Layer 0 : the original image with the erased original hands, taking care of reproducing the folds.
- Layer 1 : the cut and pasted arms and hands of the "Adam's Creation" of Michelangelo, setting the layer blending mode to
Multiply, the main responsible of the whole magics.

By courtesy of Michelangelo Buonarroti, who kindly agreed upon using his famous hands for this fake

Cool idea, nicely done! I probably would have burned in that guy in the foreground - but you certainly want people there - it adds something to the photo.

Excellent concept and you carried it through extremely well. The substituted hands aren't immediately noticed, not even after reading your description, so maybe a method could be used to emphasize them a bit. It's possible that a gradient in Multiply mode dragged toward the "heavenly" hands might draw the eye to them.

Well, I take it as a big compliment cause when I do fakes with art I try to make them look as real as possible.

However I see your point and I quite understand your suggestion. Thak you very much.
I'll put it in my toolbag for future needs ...
