Default Book Jacket : Le Avventure di Pinocchio

Here's a simple one.

Before Shooting :
- question : mmm, which italian book can I choose that is known by everybody ? -> Pinocchio !
- question : how does Pinocchio books usually look ? -> Google search
- question : what about an alternative "cut" ? -> well , Pinocchio is a strong well known icon everybody knows. Few elements should be enough for people to recognize it even if it is not shown completly.
- Why not shooting from top and let his nose cross the diagonal ?
- let's make a draft design study to see how it will look like :

- look around downtown to find out some Pinocchio "resellers" : Gadget shops should have it !
- found ! Now select the longest nose one at the lowest price !
- BTW , now I have a very kitsch Pinocchio korkscrew
- Setup all of the lights in my Hotel Room and shoot a lot of shots from different perspectives before natural light goes away.

P.S.
- selection ( magic wound, polygon, ellipse )
- copy & paste
- rotation
- manual level correction
- automatic contrast
- some drop shadow effect
- some text
- had to swith to a landscape version cause I haven't found a bigger nose ( although I have tryied to enlarge it digitally I was not happy about the result )

Vito, I respectfully disagree. I think it's simplicity is part of the charm.

I wish I could speak Italian so I could say to you in your own language what a tremendous job you did. Italian is a language that knows how to get excited.

Not only did you create a wonderful book cover, but you also made me laugh. Do you think your wife would like the corkscrew?

Thanx everybody for your kind comments.
Selvin, it was absolutely not my intention to.
Still, this challenge has taken some time to start but it is showing great works !
