Default Book Cover: The Wonderful Wizard Of Oz

I know I am not in Kansas, anymore, however the rainbow and the cornfield just screamed Oz. I had to do a search to find out who wrote it.

Very nice. I still love my K1000. My sister read the whole series of books when she was little (yes, there were more!)

What a tremendous photo of a rainbow! And you're right--it had to be for the beloved Wizard. I would have had to look up the author too. The movie scared the dickens out of me when I was a kid. It was those horrid flying monkey creatures.

I thought I was the only kid ever scared of those horrible monkeys. I never would watch it.

Bet you weren't the only kid scared of those creatures. Little boys aren't about to admit to having the pants scared off them.

OK, Barb, so far we got monkeys and clowns. Weren't you afraid of "normal" things like the Boogeyman?

Yeah, I grew up in a house that was about 150 years old that had a nasty basement made of dirt, fieldstone, and some sort of crumbly mortar. Centipedes periodically crawled from there up through the walls and all the way to the second floor into my bedroom. Big dudes, they were. I used to set up a howl that could be heard over in the next town.

Clowns, flying monkeys, and centipedes.

nice job

i was never afraid of that movie....but i don't really like movies that involve murder scenes.....especially when they show it over and over again (like Minority Report)
