This is my first contrib to the weekly photo challenges. These two shots would also fit into another weekly challenge. These are taken looking through my mailbox as the mailman would see.

This is a nice concept. Glad you decided to join us in the challenge forum!:-)I like the first one best, and you are right - this also would have fit the depth of field challenge from a few weeks back. Is is my eyes, the mailbox, or the photo? To me it looks like it's leaning a little.

I think this fits at least 3 challenges. DOF, NewAngle, and Doors!!!

Good concept and execution.

Jody

I like both photos equally because each conveys a different concept, the first focusing on the idea of mail, the second on the idea of the person who receives the mail. Yes, this would have been perfect for the DOF challenge.

Glad you decided to join us. Keep 'em coming!

i like the first one better though....

i'm thinking the mailbox itself is tilted....because the lines on the house are horizontal

The mailbox is leaning. I need to take it up and secure it better into the ground. The box is held to the post by only one lag bolt right now.

To heck with the leaning mailbox, spend the time taking more photos! :-)

I like the first photo best.

I agree with Chuck - keep them coming and leave the mailbox alone. Heaven knows there are enough things leaning around my house! :-)
