I am stunned by the results I've got today with a brand-new Jenoptik 3.1z3, which I bought for the family (various exciting trips coming up) for 128 ukpounds today.

I'd had my eye on this flower in the back garden for some time, but didn't expect to be able to record such reds.

Hope this'll do. I'm off to the Scottish islands for a week, where there'll be lots of grey, but little red. Now *there's* a challenge one day - "Grey" (strictly no contrast allowed).

Nothing in the world can do color up right like a flower! What sort is that, anyway? It looks rather like the gold-colored daylilies that grow down the road from me.

Yes, it's a lily, given us by a friend. My wife prefers the following crop from the same image. It's rather erotic, really......there doesn't seem to be a smiley for "phew, hot flush" does there?

Since your second version zeroes rightin on the sexual organs of the flower, it can't help but be erotic.:-)

Maybe in honor of Alan, our next challenge should be "Monochrome in Color" so he'll have a place for all those Scottish pictures.

Have a good holiday, Alan.

I like the crop. It gives a view that we normally miss, has impact and provokes an emotional response.

I think I'll go and take a cold shower...

The crop is great.... am impressed by the level of detail even after the crop. Aloha

Cheap camera huh? Just goes to show it's not the tools, it's the master using them that really counts!
