Barbara,

Is that red or maroon? Just pulling our strings...

Love the contrast of the red and white. There's a New Year's Day songfest held in Japan called the Red and White songfest. The most popular male (red) and female (white) singers compete in a team showdown. Even if you don't understand any Japanese it's pretty entertaining. Your contrasting colors brought that to mind in a stream of consciousnsss.

Nice work.

Your stream of consciousness brought on my own: my mother wearing a red-and-white gingham dress along with white high heels, the air around her scented with a long-ago cologne called Tweed. I thought she was beautiful and that, when I grew up, I would wear red-and-white gingham and Tweed. I never dideither of those things. I looked awful in gingham and they stopped making that particular scent.

As for the handwriting, Vito, when I was in school, we were taught the Palmer method of handwriting, and woe to those who deviated from the pattern. I still remember Miss Strongman in elementary school. She sure lived up to her name.

Great photo. It wouldn't look misplaced on the front of an Agatha Christie. But I can't read the second word on the card. I've always had trouble reading other people handwriting, even my own sometimes.
