It is raining non-stop, the cloud cover is dark and heavy and its not predicted to quit any time soon. I set up under an umbrella in my front yard andshot these rhodies. Another flower picture, I'm trying to stop! After more than a passing glance and much messing in Photoshop, I discovered that they aren't truly red. I had hoped that I could provide Barbara with a definitive red photo, but alas, it is not.

Nice one. I don't really like flower shots but i think they look better with water sitting on them. :-)

Philby, they look pretty darned red on my screen. Yes, there's a drop of blue in them but not enough to quibble over.A slight tangent...

Flowers sit out there, yelling with color, but I'm not sure they're a sign of all that's good. I think the devil created them. They lure us in, using their sensuality to get us to forget the rules. Maybe Jackrussel knows the truth: flowers are evil.

I very much like two things about your wet Rhodies

One, they largely fill the frame so the eye of this viewer is encouraged to pause and examine each flower.

Also, your drops are real (not sprayed on) because they are of different sizes.

Your photowould make a great placemat for a Valentines Day party!

It was raining pretty hard when I took the picture.
