My new little el-cheapo Pentax Optio S40 has a VERY interesting filter set built in. This is an unedited BW+Red filter shot I took. Normally you see the flag in photosflapping in all it's glory, but I decided that the BW + Red would sort of fit well with a flag at rest.

I thought I would throw in another pic (not really one for the challenge) just to show the power of this IMHO cool little built in filter. I would have NO idea how to do this in photoshot.

That's one amazing little trick. Does the camera have other colored filters too?

What's even more amazing is that none of the rest of us even thought about flags, and there's red in a lot of the flags from different nations.

Good submissions.

And a green one as well.

That is absolutely cool! Any other kinds besides the colored ones? Polarizing? Neutral density?

Great filter

Have you considered cropping with flag on left third of photo? I sense it might amplify theflag-pierces-the-sky look to your photo

The rest of the "filters" are just your normal sepia, black and white, and red / green / blue tints. I had never seen the BW + color filter on another camera... a really cool feature!

I really like the pictures with one color showing (other than the greys). With my limited ability using photo editing programs it would take me a week or more to figure how to do what you did with the click of a shutter. An "el-cheapo" you say? Maybe I'll take a look on ebay.

I gave it (The Pentax Optio S40) a shortie review on the Pentax forums. I wonder if some of the other more full featured Pentax cameras have this feature?

"El-Cheapo" you say? $500! :?

To me, that's a lot of money.
