I really didn't get the shot I wanted to. This was taken from a bridge in the Flordia keys (tele-phot lens) and we had several right in front of us. By the time I pulled over and got the lens on they were moving away fast. It was cool to watch them though. They would pull up and the wind would lift them up in the air 15 feet or so! It must have been a rush. It was real windy and hard to stay still.

Given all the fuss you had to go through, you did a great job! The eye goes instantly to the... What would you call it? A sail?

It's a modified stunt kite. They have pockets in them so they don't sink, and rise out of the water easily.

I wonder if the pockets were thought of only after the loss of several such kites, rather in the spirit of a traffic light being installed only after at least three people have bought it at an intersection.
