yea..i'm not getting it..lol
DDT was the insecticide of choice until it was banned because it was so harmful to animals. What I remember in particular is that it caused the shells on birds' eggs to be so thin that they'd crack, the embryo never having a chance to fully mature. I'm sure there was more than just that single effect, but I'd have to research it. Anyway, when I was a kid, entire areas would periodically be sprayed with the stuff to reduce the insect population. It did a number on mosquitos, and though they were still around, it was in nowhere near the volume they are today. These days, they're out and about morning, noon, and night, but when I was a kid, daytime was a safe time from them.

I don't know about elsewhere, but in the U.S., no DDT is allowed.

Well done, photosbyvito

Elegant, subtle, simple (a goodthing!) and very nicely composed and exposed.

thanks digicamfan....

i've learned from making graphics for signatures in forums....and getting them rated and/or commented on....simple is better....most of the time and a major aspect of photography is composing a strong simple picture, that's wat makes landscapes hard..you try to fit too much in it....

thanks for all your comments!
