That looks voyeuristic. Are you sure you haven't been looking through the key hole when the table tennis bats have been getting changed?

VERY nice, Vito!

Have you looked back on your photos over the past few months? You keep making giant leaps in your abilities.

wow! thanks barbara!! i have taken a look at the CD of my first shots...and there are some pretty major differences..lol....well....using manual mode now, pretty much exclusively...and going for lighting effects on the "still" shots.....

thanks a lot barbara!

all my "leaps" are a product of wandering around here so often....and stealing dale's ideas

Yes, wandering around and looking at photos obsessively is a great teacher. I'm always asking myself why I like this, why I don't like that, what would I do differently. Not only do we teach ourselves this way, but we also start understanding where we're most likely to excel. By looking at both the great and not-so-great landscapes, for instance, I discovered why mine are generally so awful: I hate doing them. Why? Becauseinsects find me delicious. Oh for the halcyon days of DDT.

Another thing that's helpful is buying up all those used and discarded books on film photography. Many digital photographers have yet to realize that the equipment may have changed, but the principles and the art are no different at all. Garage sales and library book sales are filled with these books. So is a very long shelf of mine.

Vito,

Very nicely done.... I've got to look for an LCD flashlight...

Barbara,

"..the halcyon days of DDT". I wonder how many folks have a clue what you are referring to?
