Another bird off of my feeders. Canon 300D, Quantaray 70-300@300 giving effective focal length of 480mm.

I've never seen one of these! It looks like the bark is more in focus than the bird but I am certain you did a good job with this whole series - my bird pics are all flops. I love how you can see the food hanging out of his mouth - such nice detail and quick shooting!

Like Betsy, I'm very forgiving of slight bits of blur when it comes to photos of birds. I really like the way two primary colors--yellow and red--are like a secondary subject in this picture.

Yes, darn it all! But we can't get good at anything without practicing. Recently, I took extremely bad pictures of a tanager, a nuthatch, and a hummingbird. I'm planning to take more bad pictures in the verynear future.
