What an interesting setup was used for the photo in the way the instruments were held up and all pointed toward the center. Was this a formal portrait to be used in a yearbook or was this a bit of fooling around on the side? Also, it appears that most of the kids are wearing blue shirts except for a very few who are wearing white. Is this something just happened in the photo or is there special meaning to the white?

this was taken on a concert night where heaps of schools played from around our region. The kids with the white shirts like my son are members of 2 or more bands so have to run between the different bands for performance and photo takingand just change their waist coats. The photo is the one they always take after the formal shot, they do this each year and I have some very funny shots. My son had 4 different uniforms that night. The woman laying across the seats in front of him is their music teacher and conductor, as you can see she has a great relationship with the kids who range in age from 13 to 17.:-)This is from a film camera by the way and scanned to the computer.

This is a really interesting photo. The tuba isn't his - is the empty chair his? If so, my guess is, he's a trombonist (so was I).
