I think I could do more. About a mile of it is up a hill. It kills my thighs. They're not little skinny things, they're chunky ones. I'm not built for stamina. Even when I couldn't get over eight stone and was a skinny rat I couldn't do anything long distance. I used to bunk off when we had to do cross country in PE.

Women are usually more built for stamina I've heard.

Ferny, when I was into biking seriously, we used to refer to hills not in terms of distance, but in terms of the time it took to cycle to the top. So... one hill might be a 30 second hill and another might be a 2 minute hill, etc.

That burning in your thighs is a good thing - it means you're working them! Push a little bit more each day and the things that used to make them burn will be child's play now.

I love biking! Not as good as discodudettes mom, but I did get 1000 miles one summer a couple years back.

Back to photos (sorry!) - I really like the one of you and your horse after a day: trail ride 024.jpg

Well, it means it's full of poison at least. I did GCSE PE Studies so know about lactic acid etc.
In terms of time? It's about a five minute plus hill then. Can't say I've timed it but I'm out for 20-25 mins and that one hill takes up a lot of time.

Monkey, are you going to post a picture of yourself in the potrait thread? Your head isn't really made of lego blocks is it?

Amy! Look at all this el lingo that has been going on without me!

Haha, I really should keep up with this board!

Hmmm, i like the word section. But you are missing a few words from the "Jenni dialect."

Furshetta = Another way to say "for sure", like fur shizzle.
Da Bombza! = The best
Dawg = Like friend or pal
Bottom sup! = Great job!
Es so purrtay = It is very pretty.
Hehe = Like haha, except more of a giggle than a laugh.
El lingo = Words that come from a region, like all this american teen words listed above!

Hmm, I cant think of any more el lingo, Ames took a lot of mine.

Wow, we got some exercising freaks here? Now Im not so alone! Hehe, I have to jog everyday or else by the end of the night, I'm sprinting up and down my stairs repeatedly. It's like my legs have to be moving! ((hmm, sounds a lot like my hyper side, hehe)

Ferny and Pickles,

My head really IS made of Lego blocks. I was in a terrible accident as a child. I was on the wall with my cousin Humpty Dumpty, having our pictures taken. He started to wobbleand when he lost purchase, reflexes took over; he grabbed my arm. Being a gentleman, he graciously let the kings horses and men work on theme first. Tragically, that decision was his demise... (it's been another rough week; can you tell?) I've been walking on eggshells ever since.

Seriously, if I ever find a picture of myself I like, I'll post it. Truth told, I didn't know we had a portrait thread! :-)

How long did it take you to think all that up? And the pun.:-)

Take a look at Mark's post in the People Forum.

OK, I'm an idiot. I can't find a thread for self-portraits. Can you post a link? :-)
