Nice shot! It's got the perfect mixture of angles and then a whole circle to soften us the jagged edges! Great job!

Thanks, Amy! (Glad to read in another thread that your stomach isn't complaining any longer) :-)

Methinks that this spider was under the influence (of something) when it wove this web. But, it made the web all that more interesting!

Great shot, Geoff! Webs aren't always the easiest things to capture because the tiniest breeze gets them wiggling. You did well.

Barbara, thanks! It helps when the web is weighed down with the morning's dew.

What is it about web pictures? They just have something that always makes them great. I love the dew on that.

Oh, and do as the Grange Hill kids. Just say no.

Imagine the thoughts going through the spider's mind....."Yeah, I know it's supposed to be round, but boy, it sure is easiergoing down hill than up....Ah heck with it....Ooopps, crossed over that one...oh well, not worth starting over.....that darn wind and dew keep ruining my meal traps......"

Ah, spider thoughts. Outside and in the corner by the back door are twin spiders who wove their webs on either side of the porch light. They know the old mantra in real estate about location. Each day, I check to see which one has done better during the night, and I imagine the two of them arguing, taunting, and showing off. "Hey, dummy, did you see this moth I got at 3 a.m? Take me a week to suck it dry. What you got to show for the night? Yeah, right, a June bug. All shell, no meat. Nyah-nyah!"

One of these days, I'm going to take the broom and get rid of both thesebloated slobs. You ought to see the bug pieces I constantly have to clean up.
