Ohenry postCircles of Photographyhas beeninspiring for me.

So I took some shots of my unique equipment : a circular polarizer lens ( pun intentionally wanted ;-) ) and an adapter for my Coolpix 4300.

Shots have been taken upon a white paper with a light pointing upwards to the ceiling and a small light pointing downwards, just behind the subject.

Three shots have been taken without a flash while the most colorful one has been taken with the flash.

Colors come from white balancing automatism : Ihave not correctedthem cause I liked them.

Kenko Circular Polarizer 1 :

Kenko Circular Polarizer2:

Kenko Circular Polarizer3:

Kenko Circular Polarizer4 (Polarizer andlamp from above, almost an abstract shot, that's why i flipped it vertically ):

P.S. :

- automatic/manual levels

- automatic contrast

- some dodge tool brushstrokes on dark parts

- some sponge tool (desaturate mode) brushstrokes on coloured reflections I did not want

Interesting shots. I like #2's effect the most.

And I love the subtle coloring and shadows of the 1st and the 3rd. Very nicely done, Sergio.

Another excellent use of lighting. I'm torn between #1 and #2. Leaning towards #2 for the colours.
