Thanks for the tips sergio, i was just trying to find out if there was a way to force a circle. Let's just hope the ball is a perfect circle. :-)

Well, for £15 this should be a legitim expectation, shouldn't it ?

Yes it should be. :-)I just found a fixed aspect ratio selection on the elliptical tool toolbar which does the same as holding the shift button. Thanks, i'll have another go at it later. :-)

I've had another go but this time i changed the canvas size to make it square rather than rectangular. The ball is round after all, i was getting a bit worried about that. I think if it hadn't been my son would be taking it back, he doesn't like rugby. :-)

There's only one true game and its football. All others are pretenders.

Anyhow, very nice work, the post shot work looked ike fun. Gotta try that one day.

Exercises like this, though done for fun, increase the store of possibilities you have on hand for when you have The Photograph, the one that will take nothing more than a tiny tweak to make it perfect. Play hard! I'm an old hand at Photoshop, but I'm still playing andstill appalled at how much I've still to learn.

Could you imagine buying that then losing it over a fence?
At least you stand a chance of it lasting a while. In our garden 12-yr-old Will's footballs have a half-life of about a week, as we have a hawthorn hedge on three sides. So his balls come in bulk for approx 2 ukpounds from Sport Soccer at a retail park.

If he chucked them through his basketball hoop things were fine, until someone bought him an expensive basketball weighing twice as much, since when I have had a full-time job with the masonry drill putting the hoop back on the garage wall.

I wish he'd hurry up and discover women.

Not necessarily what you should be wishing for. It has its own row of hawthorne.
