We spent a week in the Florida Keys in May. The Sunsets there are truley an event.

All of the restuarants and bars have places to sit out and watch them.

I have a series of shots showing the sun going right down on the ocean at the link below. They begin on the page linked but click next to continue.

Wow - the sun looks like it's melting into the water. Fantastic!

Been to the keys a couple of times and it is as beautiful as you portray.

Minor hint, watch your tilting horizon.

Thanks for the tip! I never noticed. I Shot a series of shots on 3 different days. I did use my tripod for some of them. I would love to visit Hawaii someday. I bet you have gorgeous sunsets there also!

I actually like the slight tilt to the horizon (different strokes for different folks) - it adds some interest to this quiet, subdued photo of an egg yolk slipping silently down. :-)

Very nice. And I've think I've just found the Loch Ness Monster! She's on the left between the sun and the edge. She must be on holiday.

Trique Daddi,

I've been to Southern Florida several times (Gulf side, Ft. Myers) and to Key West twice, unfortunately never got a chance to see the sunset.

If you have time you can see sunsets at:

There's even a Sanibel Beach one.

Wow those are terrific! I will have to settle for the pics for now but would love to see a sunset in person there!
