Like the sky in Alan's photo of his children, the sky here set itself up just right for this picture.

this is a good example of a "half silhouette"....you can see just a little bit of detail in the people....

the sky is just too gorgeous....

(you guys notice how much a "human element" can add to a landscape!)

Hey, I just posted this, went for a quick meal and there's 4 replies already! Do you guys sit and wait for new pics? Such dedication!

No, this is Lake Powell USA and there's nothing quite like it in the UK. It's what Mars must have been like before the water dried up. As for the sky "setting itself up" - no way. We came in from a boat trip as the sun was setting and I had to sprint up this huge hill to get a pic.

hmm...you're talking about our dedication.....let's talk about YOUR dedication! you SPRINTED up a hill to take this shot!

i'd say it was worth it was it hard to change settings with shaking fingers?
