If you reduce a picture to two colors, black & white, you get lots of silhouettes - BUT this is computer trickery and should not count. I'll try to post a real photo later but this picture of my house and yard was all I had handy here at the office.

very true....lol...good idea

it works best if you use "brightness/contrast" and throw contrast all the way up and move brightness until you're please

Au contraire, mon frer! All is fair in love and photography, in my book. It takes an eye not only to take the picture but also see the final product and slight of hand to make it happen. I am definately not a photo purist so I'll be the first to praise you for breaking the rules! And remember, "our" rules were, no rules! So your silhouette totally fits. It is an interesting photo, also. Very nice and I'm glad you posted. :-)
