A beautiful shot but too much sharpening in PS or PSP. If you look closely at the tree, you can see a halo effect next to the dark areas. That is a sure sign that you have sharpened too much. You can also see it around the buildings and on the horizon line.

That sky is on fire! Very, very nice, esp. how the sun is peeking through the branches. I think I like it somewhere between the two - I like it sharper but that first one is a little too brash, given the subject. But I still like it sharp. nice job!

That's nice. I love sunset and sunrise pictures. As for the sharpening, I didn't notice it until it was pointed out, novice that I am, but I must admit the original shot does appear better to me too.

Yep#1 definately has the finger in the light socket feel to it but would definately work in the digital art section, it's interesting and abstract. I like both.
