Jackson Bottom Slough, just south of Hillsboro, OR floods every spring. Here is a nice view. Minolta S414, auto.

Yes, nice natural framing. Wow - do you really get that much water? We have a "wetlands" across from our house but it's a rare year it's that wet!

The Jackson Bottom Slough is a protected wetland that always has water flowing through it. In the late winter and spring, the famous Portland area rain causes the water level to rise by about ten feet. The nearby Tualitin River usually floods at the same time and I think it also contributes to the rising water in the slough. There is a causeway carrying OR highway 219 through the middle of the slough and it is a spectacular sight when the water rises. I have seen it get up to within 5 feet of the highway.

very nice pic! the clear shrap lines and almost no colours. that looks really great to me! good composition!
