Thank you, monkey!

Glacier looks that way from the southern end of Lake McDonald. If you've never been there, then you owe yourself a trip!
DH and I are contemplating "heading west, young man" for our annual vacation in the fall. We'll keep this in mind! :-)

ohh very cool i really like the effect..

you can add grain quite easily in PS...there are a bunch of filters....but making it work might be a little more difficult

there is the "filter/noise/add noise" and then i think in "other" you have grain..i think...

i'll have to check..i know you can "add noise" though

then probable change the layer style to "overlay"

Hmmm, fall could be a bit late for Glacier as it is not unheard of for things to begin getting snowed in there even as early as September.

And, if you are thinking of coming as far north and west as Oregon, do let me know as Oregon is my stomping grounds (and calr's). Perhaps I (or we) could introduce you to a few places for photo ops...

You're right! I just checked in PSE2 and I can use the Filter->Noise->Add Noise filter to get somewhat the same effect. I'll have to keep that in mind for the future...

Thanks, vito! And thanks for the compliments.

Geoff, I grew up knowing good ol' Tony plus the little Alka-Seltzer dude and Ipana's Bucky.

As for retirement, I'm happy as a pig in...
