Technically a rather poor picture. A low resolution camera at high ASAyieldedlots of noise and artifacts but it's pretty froma distance. Every morning these pelicans headed south and every evening they flew back north.

I'm going to lay my head on the block and say that without the noise, I don't think that picture would be as good. It adds texture to it but keeps the focus on the colours in the sky and the birds. It also looks stormy and moody because of the grey colours and noise, but it's getting balanced by the red in the sky which warms it up.

I like it Puck. Well done.

I don't care about the resolution and noise. Its'a super picture, and Turner would have painted it if he'd thought to do so.

I like it too, with the noise. I love the Outer Banks (went to Duck a few years). The firey clouds have a great upward curve, meeting the curve of the birds. How did you get them all to do that?
