A tree you might ask? Well my biggest zoom was 70mm on my Minolta SLR for the last ten years or so.

Now I am looking for a digicam and wow - you can do nice closeups with 380mm zoom! And since you banned bugs and flowers but allowed elephants... I thought a tree would just be ok. Furthermore: closeup doesn't mean macro :-)

And don't you feel like diving into it when you look a while? Or is it just me?

Who banned bugs and flowers? Those are definitely legitimate photography subjects.

In Barbara's original assignment for the closeup she suggested that we photograph something that hadn't been over-photographed, to push our creativity. I believe that's where the ban came from. I do believe people ignored the ban then, too! :-)

PS - yes, I do feel like diving into it. More importantly, it looks like, if I did so, it would be so welcoming and comfy! :-)

was taken in the afternoon before I picked up my daughter from kindergarden... a bit cloudy with some sparkling areas where the sun was... like in that tree. Was almost magical
