Hi Discodudette...

I cropped a lil, then accentuated your soft blur, enhanced the red a little

I really like that soft blur...

All that is bold and beautiful is not clear (i.e, "tack" sharp).

Both of these are nice! Are you having fun with your new camera, Amy? I've saved it to play with this weekend. Another fun-looking one to experiment with, even tho it's very lovely in its own rite (or should that be right? Similar to the meaning of rite of passage so I spelled it rite - or maybe wrong :-)).

First I duplicated the layer and on the new layer I did a radial blur with the zoom setting at its max. I then made a layer mask and erased the middle of the flower and ran the unsharp mask to sharpen it up. I then did the autolevels and really liked look. Used the elliptical selection tool to select the middle, turned on thequick mask and did a blur to feather the selection, inverted the selection and did another radial blur on the zoom setting at its max.
