I visited a friend's farm, named Red Cat Farm. The picture below is the "Red Cat" :-) Anyways, the time of day was wrong and the sun was in front of me rather than behind me. Let's see what people do to improve this one.

And without further ado - here's Red Cat...

I liked the subject here - I just burned and dodge, and copy-pasted some more of those great grapes (bad cut job but you get the drift). Fantastic character! I'd love to have him in my garden! :-)

Wow, what you did with those apples, Julie! Now, I'll have to go back to see if my eyes weren't just fooling me on the first picture :-) I like the way that you also brought out the red in the cat.

You did a good job of deemphasizing the background in favor of the cat, monkey. I think the only thing additional needed was to select for the cat and increase the levels and saturation of it.

BTW, those were apples, not grapes :-) Boy, if those really were grapes, I'd be going for them in a big way because I love grapes and these would be monsters!

Thinking about this subject, I believe that what I should have done on that particular afternoon was to go around to the rear of the cat. Since the sun then would have been coming from over my shoulder, the cat's behind would have showed up very nicely and it would have been the side least expected to have been photographed...

LOL - sorry - they looked like really big grapes to me! :-)The cat's behind would have also been a great shot. :-)
