In this shot I tried to associate the parfum to an appropriate background.
In this case I selected a jeans shirt cause I thought this parfum had a young target.
I polished the parfum and I placed it in the shirt and I set up its folders around it.
A black paper was uses as a background.
The shot has been taken in macro mode with natural light.

P.S. :
- Automatic contrast
- Backgound selection
- brightness set to 0 to get a perfect black background
- Picture rotation to have the left side of the parfum vertically aligned
- No perspective correction : I liked it this way
- crop
- dominant color correction , leaving a certain cyan component
- unsharp mask tool
- some clone stamp of dust and unwanted reflections on the parfum
- "Pour Homme ..." writing selection and brightness enhancement
- some big soft burn brushstrokes on the jeans tissue.
- Added a new layer with a diagonal gradient ( white to black , blend mode set to overlap ) in order to have the parfum brighter than the jeans in the lowest part of the shot

I don't like the out of focus bit at the front. But I love the idea and your execution (of the photo, not you :lol.

Well done Sergio. Another great photo.

Thanx.

I ask you for an explanation though cause I'm not sure I understood correclty the subject of your critic.

What is exactly that you do not like ? The fact of having the foreground out of focus or that particular piece of tissue on the left - bottom corner ?

Thanx in advance, Sergio

nice one sergio! i think i like the photo as it is, the not in focus part at the front works well imo in guiding the eye to the perfume bottle/name!

And here I thought all perfume ads had to have oddly dressed people on the beach or otherwise never show the actual product :-)

Nice shot, I like it.

sergio....i was (and i think ferny was too) talking about the little piece of the jacket, that goes down the left bottom corner, that is out of focus...

i'm thinking now, i'd have to see the two shots, to see if it's better all infocus...pavaros brought up a good point...

Ok, photosbyvito, thanx for the explanation.

hello, very interesting reading the different opinions on this shot. it is interesting how different can be the taste of people! in this picture what really liked was the sense of depth given by the contrast between the out of focus part and the sharp shape of the parfume. it seems to me that the parfume is jumping out of the photo!
