The leaves on this tree have not started to change, yet but the tree is loaded with these ripe berries just waiting the the Cedar Waxwings to arrive. I think the berries are toxic to humans but the birds love them.

I shot a bunch of fall foliage shots during my lunch break today but is heavy overcast (predicted to rain by evening) and the pictures look lousy. I spotted a bunch of brilliant trees yesterday which I will shoot the first of next week if they survive the rain. I also have a lot of fall foliage pictures shot in previous years.

This is shot with a Minolta S414, spot metered on the berries.

Cal, This is great lighting - it almost looks as if (to me) it was shot from a sunroom.
