Hi Amy;

I like the second shot a great deal. Nice and sharp.

Regards,

Tom, on Point Pelee, Canada

Hi Amy. I also like the second one the best. The bright colors of the leaves and the subdued background really convey a feeling of communing with nature. Well done!

BTW, there should be a button on your camera to disable the flash. Typically, these buttons have at least three settings, auto (camera decides if flash is used), always on, and always off. If your camera has a pop-up flash, simply push it down (stored position) to disable. If you are using an external flash, simply turn the flash off.

With the flash disabled, ignore any red lightning bolts or other symbols indicating the camera wants flash. Go ahead and shoot anyway but use a tripod if you have it.

Both are nice in their own way. The second for overall color but the first would be interesting wallpaper and even if changed dramatically using tonal range adjustments....
