Here are three macro shots of some leaves I found in my front yard. Backlight is from a 5000K light box. Front light from a flourescent desk lamp.

Nikon D100, Sigma 28-70mm zoom, 12mm extension tube, tripod, self-timer 10 sec.

Wonderful idea, calr !

I think you started what could be considered a wonderful serie.

I would frame the shots and lay them out in a row or matrix ( if you have some other ones ) !

Another idea would be to pick up an almost green leaf and shoot at it every day in the same way ( Same light, same position, same zoom, same exposition ).

It would be intersting to show all of the steps of the "browning" process !

I agree with sergio's suggestions - but these photos are also fantastic in their own right. Such intricate detail, captured wonderfully. I am even more appreciative because I know I couldn't do that! :-)

You'd be surprised how simple it is. The only critical piece is the light box which not everybody has. I use it mainly to examine slides and negatives but occasionaly, I use as I have done here to provide back lighting to a macro subject.

How fantastically, deceptively simple! No matter how, the end result is still wonderful!
