Julie - this is a lovely series. You did a most excellent job in restoring your photos and showing us your life through them. I had to laugh - when I saw your wedding day in 1980, I thought, "oh, she's a newlywed!" Wow - where does the time go?!!? very nicely done - thanks for taking the time to post and share them!:-)

Nice series, Julie. Gee, to me 1980 doesn't seem that long ago at all. Can it really almost be 25 years since then? Yikes!

Julie,

Your wonderful collection of reminiscences inspired me to rummage in our own archives because....
  1. I'd noticed that for work all this week my wife (actually "aladyfifty") was remarkably wearing her "going away on honeymoon" clothes. As shown on these images from yesterday and from 9[suP]th[/suP] April 1980, it's the same skirt, jumper and jacket, all in good repair.[/*]
  2. Everyone round here seems to have got married in 1980.[/*]
  3. We live in a different age now, as our 20-yr-old student daughter seems to be able to spend decades'-worth of Sue's clothes budget every few weeks.
[/*]

Thanks very much for a great set of self-portraits
