I wish I had figured out that I needed a flash for this, but I was experimenting with freezing action. The good news is that I can go back and do it again, but I have to figure out if adding a flash will take away the "digital color grain" that I got.

I played with the ISO and shutter speed. I thought I needed a very high ISO, but I'm sure that's what gave me the graininess.

ISO 1600

Shutter speed 1/800

F/5

41 mm

Oh well, now I know what not to do. Hopefully I'll be able to post a similar picture, but crystal clear, in the future. That is my goal!

Finally, she too defied gravity, but also proved that the photographer needs more work!

OUCH! That's gotta hurt! Great shots. They clearly convey the anticipation of the pain encountered with a belly or back flop! Now, maybe you could try catching them just before they hit the water and as they hit the water. If your camera has a setting for continuous shooting, try a sequence of shots showing the entire "dive." You could then post the sequence for this week's challenge--Series.
