Saw this going to work - the sun was JUST coming out of the left cloud bank. By the time I parked the car and got to my spot the sun was completely out and dominating the picture:sad:

I took off my gloves and feverishly tried to put on a blue/yellow polerizer - the sun was STILL to bright so I put on a Neutral density filter. I had now lost all feeling in my fingers (honestly). I snapped a shot but 4 went off as my now numb finger did not respond to my thoughts.

I then aimed to a different point but now tears were running down my eyes from the wind and I could not focus on a thing.

I think if death was not at my doorstep I could have gottin better shot but . . . alas

Great shot!

Hey, check out Cabela's, they have some great hunter's gloves and mittens that keep your fingers warm until you're ready to shoot, then you just poke your finger out the slash, just enough to shoot, and then back into the warm fleece.

(of course you wouldn't have that great story if you were so equiped)
