Waves were big on theNorthShorethe other day - 12-16 feet, good day to stay out of the water. Even bigger last week - 30ft +.

Here's my wife and son taking a walk.

Thank you guys for the kind words. It is surprising how peaceful it can be right next to violent crashing waves - just never turn your back on the ocean!
Sorry Vito, I didn't see any surfers though if we had gone on to Waimea we might have, I hear it was BIG and GLASSY. We went to the north shore to see the big waves though we missed the really big ones by a few days.
