Now, bikes I understand. They're useful and you tend not to fall off at random intervals. But why do unicycles exist? The only possible use I can think of is to carry yourself across a rope stretched over a massive water fall or to make people laugh when you fall off.

I was going to comment how the first is very soft. But after looking at it a few times I like it that way.

I agree, i can not see much use for a one wheeled bike:-)

Believe it or not, there is a new sport here in Oregon, Mountain Unicycling! These people put knobby tires and special seats on unicycles and ride the mountain bike trails. They have lots of scars.

I'm guessing they either take a long time to finish as they cautiously try to find a way down the mountain. Or they fly past the finish line with their closely followed by their unicycle.
