I asked my wife if she thought that windsurfing was considered transportation and she said no! However, if that is true, sledding in the snow isn't either, so here is the windsurfing picture. This was shot in the Columbia Gorge at the town of Hood River.

Scanned 35mm slide.

Nice one, Calr...

Surfboards are an early form of transportation. And if you've got snow around you and you've got boxes to move (food, clothes, supplies, etc.) you're going to want a sled. Sledding and windsurfing are just the recreational versions. I think I'm right there. By the same logic we can include racing cars and powerboats.
Plus, monkey said in the challenge "Whatever gets you from point A to point B during these two weeks, we want to see it!" Ok, few of us are doing the two week part, but you can get from one place to another on a sled, racing car, powerboat and sled.
