Do you remember those flying wall ducks? That's the first thing that popped into my head when I say that photo.


Impressive entry. May I ask your focal length? You seem to be very close to the action.

Difficult to say, with full size cropping and everything I would estimate that it is about the equivalent of 1000mm.

Of course these were all taken at an airshow and so the planes were doing a flypass at relatively low altitude and slower speeds. LIke this Lancaster bomber:
